The 2010 New York City Horror Film Festival has now concluded. All the bodies have hit the floor, been mopped up, and left the building. It was a great festival and I’m always humbled by the outpouring of support and love we receive. Not only from our home town (that just happens to be the greatest city on earth) but from the fans, filmmakers, and the industry as a whole world wide.

A special thanks must go out to our special guests who gave their time and support to the filmmakers, the festival, and the fans; Mr. Tony Todd, Vincent D’Onofrio, Sam Bisbee, Michael Wright, William Lustig, Brett Rickaby, Michael Gingold, Jeff Lieberman, the cast and crew of all the films that joined us, partied the nights away with everyone. To the production team behind outrageous upcoming film “INKubus”. And of course, to the man, the myth, the madman, the legend, Mr. Robert Englund!

It takes a lot of hard work from a group of talented and dedicated people to pull it all together and I’d like to send out my thanks to the festival staff: Sean Marks, Chris Rowen, Eliot Saltzman, Kimberly Magness, Michael Gingold, Marla Newborn, Maria Ocasio, Adam Torkel, Elwaldo Babtista, David Bell, David Woodard, Charles Miller, Joe Mauceri, Katii Durrell, Lisa Forst, Frances McLean, Myra Crespo, Christine Nieves, Ross Byron, Steve Larz, John Santora, Scott Riedel, Loren Hammonds and the entire staff at Tribeca Cinemas.

And to all our sponsors that so generously help support the event: Capcom, Sideshow Pictures, Showbiz Software Stores, Twitch Post, Final Draft, Sony, Soirée, Blue Underground, Dead Rising 2, Face3 Media, AMP Energy Drink, Persona Films, and Moodude Films.

It’s clear that the monster we have built is growing out of control and we (with a gleeful sneer) fully intend to unleash it for next year’s 10th anniversary edition!!!

For a full 2010 pictorial please visit us on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/pages/NYC-Horror-Film-Festival/83287509660

In 1989, six year old Martin Bristoll was kidnapped from his backyard swing in Minersville Pennsylvania. Graham Sutter, a psychotic recluse, kept Martin imprisoned on his derelict pig farm, forcing him to witness and participate in unspeakable horrors. Chosen at random, his victim’s screams were drowned out by the rural countryside. For five years, Martin’s whereabouts have remained a mystery, until 17 year old Allison Miller (Alexandra Daddario) comes to live with her Uncle, Jonathan (Michael Biehn). While exploring her new surroundings, Allison discovers things aren’t quite right at the farmhouse down the road. Her curiosity disturbs a hornet’s nest of evil and despair that once torn open, can never be closed. Starring Michael Biehn, Brett Rickaby, Alexandra Daddario, and John Savage. Written and Directed by Stevan Mena
