The 2010 New York City Horror Film Festival has now concluded. All the bodies have hit the floor, been mopped up, and left the building. It was a great festival and I’m always humbled by the outpouring of support and love we receive. Not only from our home town (that just happens to be the greatest city on earth) but from the fans, filmmakers, and the industry as a whole world wide.

  

A special thanks must go out to our special guests who gave their time and support to the filmmakers, the festival, and the fans; Mr. Tony Todd, Vincent D’Onofrio, Sam Bisbee, Michael Wright, William Lustig, Brett Rickaby, Michael Gingold, Jeff Lieberman, the cast and crew of all the films that joined us, partied the nights away with everyone. To the production team behind outrageous upcoming film “INKubus”. And of course, to the man, the myth, the madman, the legend, Mr. Robert Englund!

It takes a lot of hard work from a group of talented and dedicated people to pull it all together and I’d like to send out my thanks to the festival staff: Sean Marks, Chris Rowen, Eliot Saltzman, Kimberly Magness, Michael Gingold, Marla Newborn, Maria Ocasio, Adam Torkel, Elwaldo Babtista, David Bell, David Woodard, Charles Miller, Joe Mauceri, Katii Durrell, Lisa Forst, Frances McLean, Myra Crespo, Christine Nieves, Ross Byron, Steve Larz, John Santora, Scott Riedel, Loren Hammonds and the entire staff at Tribeca Cinemas.

One morning in 1940, the entire population of Friar, New Hampshire walked north together up an unmarked trial and into the wilderness. They left behind their clothes, money, and essentials. Their dogs were tied to posts and left to starve. Many were later found frozen to death. Others were found slaughtered. But most were never found. In 2010, the coordinates for the ‘YELLOWBRICKROAD’ trailhead are declassified. An expedition begins in hope of answers. A few among them believe they will find something terrible in the forest.
