In

Memoriam

Fatima Boome Brixton

A horror lover since a child,  She stumbled upon the NYCHFF after work one night in Tribeca over 15 years ago as a horror fan and had been until she returned home to the Lord.

Santos Ellin Jr

Santos Ellin Jr (AKA The Black Saint) was currently the Lead Theatrical Film Reviewer for Horrornews.net. He wrote reviews and conducted interviews every so often for GruesomeMagazine.com. You can hear him on numerous film-based podcasts like Horror News Radio, Decades Of Horror: The 70’s & the occasional guest spot on Decades Of Horror: The 80’s. He’s been in the pages of FANGORIA magazine, and if you look hard, you might find a few of his rants on ShockTillYaDrop.com as well. His near encyclopedic knowledge of horror/sci-fi films was amazing. He will truly be missed.

Nixida Toro

Nixida Toro joined the New York City Horror Film Festival in 2011 working merchandising and promotions with our beloved Michael J Hein at the Saturday Nightmares Convention. Nixida was passionate about Horror from an early age which she contributed to her parents who allowed her to watch every Horror Movie without censorship.

John Inserra

John wore so many hats, and was such a major contributor, that it seemed there was nothing he could not handle. His passion for the NYC Horror Film Festival was evident in everything he touched. Everybody loved John, not for what he did, but for who he was. So every year when festival comes around, John if you can hear us…..We Miss You!
