More Than 20 Years and Counting!
Established by MooDude Films CEO / Producer / Director / Michael J. Hein in 2001. New York City Horror Film Festival (NYCHFF) is America’s largest and most recognized genre film festival around the world by industry professionals and fans, focusing solely on Horror and Science Fiction. Each year the festival celebrates both the horror classics we grew up with and the new horror films & filmmakers who created them.
Each December the NYCHFF fills the city with special screenings, parties, celebrity guests and free giveaways. Due to COVID-19 it has expanded from a four day in-person event to an eight day virtual festival. As COVID-19 disappears, the festival will again be live while keeping the virtual component.
Since the passing of Michael J. Hein, the Hein Family continues to keep the festival alive in his honor.
