What Are the NYCHFF Guidelines?
The NYCHFF is an international film festival and accepts films and screenplays from around the globe. The NYCHFF holds no “completion date” or “world premiere” status regulations. All checks or money orders should be made out to The NYC Horror Film Festival. Please pay attention to our strict festival deadlines. Deadlines; each year the deadlines are as follows:
Films/Shorts: DEADLINES
Early: March 15th
Regular: June 15th
Late: September 1st
Jan 1st through Sept 1st. Submissions postmarked later then Sept. 1st will be automatically submitted to the following year. The NYCHFF accepts submissions via Vimeo links and DVD’s. All filmmakers will be notified no later then Oct 15th of each year of submission status. Selected Films; The NYCHFF screening will be only BluRay and DCP . Please make sure your disc is compatible with standard Blu-ray players before mailing to us. All films submitted should be on a single disc. If film is released prior to the event, it is not eligible for the New York City Horror Film Festival. Any film selected to screen at the NYCHFF must not screen in the state of NY or NJ at least six months prior to the festival. Before submitting, we encourage filmmakers to research any and all film festivals they intend on submitting to. Film festival fees add up, so please do your homework before submitting to any event! In fairness to all filmmakers, we do not grant waivers. Please check that your disc plays in a standard blu-ray or DCP player before mailing.

Where is the Look Dine-In Cinemas?
When can I purchase tickets?
Tickets can be purchased online or at the theatre during festival hours. You can sign up below to be notified by email as soon as tickets are available.
Will tickets be mailed to me?
No!
Your tickets will be held at the theatre as a will call and can be picked up when you arrive. Please be sure to bring confirmation of payment.
How will I know what films are programmed?
Check back here on the website October 1st or sign up below to be notified.
My finances are low. Can I get a waiver?
NO! As it would not be fair to other filmmakers.
